About
Daniel Barboza is a sound designer, composer, and electronic musician, specializing in electronic soundscapes, cinematic textures, and immersive sonic environments. His work is inspired by the impact of sound in powerful storytelling, creating emotional connections to listeners, and blending naturalistic sounds with the abstract to heighten the human experience.
Daniel has worked as an Audio Artist at Schell Games in Pittsburgh, PA, where he designed audio and composed music for video games and VR experiences. He is currently working as a Sound Designer at Playstation Studios in San Diego, California. Daniel is a graduate of Mills College where he earned an MFA in Electronic Music and Recording Media, and studied composition and audio technology with John Bischoff, James Fei, and Maggi Payne (2019). When he's not immersed in all things audio, you can find him running trails, spinning poi, and playing ska music. |
